您好，我的名字是黃芸婷。
我出生於台中市。我兩歲的時後跟著父母移民到美國加州，我分別在美國、新加坡、香港、英國讀過書，高中畢業後決定回台灣學中文，我現在就讀逢甲大學建築系。
從小在雙語環境下長大，並旅遊各國經驗，給了我不一樣的世界觀，回來台灣之後，我體會到文化差異，身為台灣人，我有強烈的責任感，想要分享我的經驗給下一代，我開始教小朋友英文並分享我的故事給他們聽。
我的教學方式注重於會話教學/生活用語，讓小朋友不是只讀教科書上面的資訊，我偏向於教他們怎麼把語言帶到生活裡面，也讓他們可以快速記住。
我很有耐心，我也很正向，當小朋友有困難時，我偏向用鼓勵的方式，讓他們知道他可以相信自己一定做得到，我喜歡把教學方式用的很有趣，讓小朋友覺得好玩幫助他們更有效率的學習，學習語言不是一件簡單的事，我暸解每個小朋友都有不同的學習速度，但我相信只要有用心和練習，一定學得起來，所以我會給我的小朋友一些小練習和回家作業，讓他們不忘記課堂上的復習內容。
Hello, my name is Tess.
I am fluent in both English and Mandarin. My family and I moved to Davis, California when I was 2. I grew up traveling around the world due to my father's job . Therefore, English is my most spoken language when I was little. I studied at international schools in Singapore/Hongkong/Taipei until 7th grade. Then, I studied at a boarding school in Canterbury for one year. I decided to move back to Taiwan and studied at local schools to improve my Chinese. I have been in Taiwan for over 6 years and have over 2 years of tutoring/teaching experience. Having taught classes of diverse sizes and ages, I truly enjoy interacting with children, most of all, being able to help with improving their English, as it will open endless doors and opportunities for them in life. I am kind and patient with my students, yet, still strict and hold my ground when necessary. In order to keep my students' interest in learning, I try to make my classes fun but at the same time, productive.
Learning a language isn't an easy task, it takes time, practice and effort. I empathize that not everyone learns at the same speed and that some students may be slower than others, and that's okay. As long as they have put in the effort and tried their best. Besides the material taught in class, I occasionally have my students write extra worksheets or assign homework exercises for practice, which will help them maintain what they've learned in class.
