Hi, I’m Julie Lin. I graduated from the International Education Program of Taipei Wego High School and was accepted into various Top 10 US universities, including UC Berkeley, UCLA, Johns Hopkins University, Northwestern University, and Duke University. I am enrolled at Duke with a double major in Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Art in English.
As an international student from Taiwan, I have a comprehensive grasp of international entrance exams and English certificates, including SAT, TOEFL, and AP exams, and understand how to guide students through their learning of English grammar/ writing/ reading/ speaking.
I have consistently been ranked at the top of my class and have exceptional performances in English and English Composition, in which my essay-writing ability has especially been praised by my teachers. In terms of standardized tests, I got 1580/1600 on SAT on my first try, 115/120 on TOEFL on my first try, and 5/5 on plenty of AP exams. As I just took these exams about a year ago, I have first-hand experience on how to tackle the latest version of these tests, and I am confident that my study/ test-taking tips would benefit the students the most.
Throughout my high school years, I have worked as a tutor for various organizations that cooperates with local elementary/ middle/ high schools, as well as non-profit organizations, to provide quality education in English, Biology, and Chemistry for students. As a tutor, I have prepared high school students for their exams, helped students with learning disabilities to keep up with their schoolwork, and equipped elementary school students with basic English grammar/ speaking skills while arousing their interest in learning English. These experiences have prepared me with the ability, patience, and dedication to teach students of all ages and all levels of English ability.
Being a student myself, I understand the struggles of a lot of Taiwanese students in learning English. Therefore, I design teaching materials and learning timelines according to students’ abilities upon initial assessment and their progress. I have always incorporated students’ interests in stories, natural sciences, news, and more to systematically teach reading, grammar, English conversation, and writing. I believe that I can guide you/ your kid(s) to ace their exams while becoming a more confident English speaker.
您好，我是林奕辰。 我畢業於台北市私立薇閣高級中學國際班，並錄取加州大學伯克利分校、加州大學洛杉磯分校、約翰霍普金斯大學、西北大學和杜克大學在內的多所美國排名前十的大學錄取。 目前我就讀於杜克大學，主修生物學學士學位和英語文學學士學位。
作為一名來自台灣的國際學生，我對國際入學考試和英語證書，包括SAT、托福和AP考試都有全面的掌握，並了解如何指導學生進行英語語法/寫作/閱讀/口語的學習。
我一直在班上名列前茅，英語和英語作文成績優異，尤其是我的作文能力得到了老師的表揚。 在標準化考試方面，我在第一次考 SAT 就得到 1580/1600，第一次考 TOEFL 就得到 115/120，並有多科AP 考試滿分。 因為我大約一年前才參加這些考試，所以我對如何應對這些最新版本的考試有第一手的經驗，我相信我的學習/考試技巧會讓學生受益最大。
高中時，我曾在與當地小學/初中/高中/ 非營利組織合作的各種機構擔任家教，為學生提供英語、生物和化學方面的優質教育。 作為家教，我曾為高中生備考、幫助有學習障礙的學生跟上功課、提供小學生基本的英語文法/口說技能教學同時激發他們學習英語的興趣。 這些經歷使我具備了能力、耐心與熱忱來教授各個年齡段和各種英語能力水平的學生。
本身作為一名學生，我理解很多台灣學生在學習英語方面遇到的困境。 因此，我根據學生初步評估的能力和他們的進步來設計教材和學習進度。 我通常結合學生對故事、自然科學、新聞等的興趣，系統性地教授閱讀、語法、英語會話和寫作。 我相信我可以指導您/您的孩子在考試中取得好成績，同時成為一個更自信的英語使用者。
我本身對於一對一教導英文及其他學科有許多經驗，也曾以英語教學輔導實驗課程，對於教導各年紀的小孩都十分有耐心且相當熱忱。
在申請留學最重要的SAT方面，我在第一次嘗試考SAT就得到1580/1600的高分。且因為我一年前才剛考完，我對於新版SAT考題有許多經驗，也更能理解考生可能遇到的問題及最適合應用在近期SAT的考試技巧。根據學生程度，我能設計出最適合您孩子的教材、基礎練習、考題練習、及模擬考時程。我在今年已經有輔導兩位學生備考SAT的經驗。將學生成績從1370提升到1430。
SAT成績讓我申請到許多美國前十名的大學，我相信在我的輔導下您的孩子也能有最好的表現。
