I teach English Language. When teaching the English language I use materials sourced from newspapers, magazines, tv programmes, films, the internet etc and help students to develop the four basic skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in the context of the actual use of English in the modern world. The particular materials used depend on what the student is interested in and the level of their language skills. I also teach directly toward passing English language proficiency test.
我教都方面的英文。英文課的主要資料來源以新聞, 雜誌, 電視節目, 電影, 網路資訊, 或是其他學生所需要的文本書籍為主。 課程目的是理解與增強英文的實際運用。 讓學生們能在他們有興趣或是特殊需求上針對性地加強他們的口語, 聽力, 閱讀與寫作的能力。我也接教授如何通過英語語言能力測試。
For all areas of teaching the specific focus of the classes/conversations will depend on the student’s goals. Such goals may include, improving conversational skills, developing better essay writing skills, learning to write. I can help students achieve each of these goals and many more.
不管是英文課都會將重點放在學生的目的與重點要求上。 我都能提供學生最專業與有效的幫助。

I am a recently retired English University professor who now resides in Taiwan with my wife. I worked at the University of Nottingham (world top 100 in 2022) for 30 years.
我是一個最近退休的英國大學的心理學教授,現在跟我的另一半住在台灣。 我之前在英國諾丁漢大學任教了30年,諾丁漢大學在2022年還是世界排名前100名的大學。
In order to help my Chinese students (mostly mainland) and other international students, I became qualified to teach English as a foreign language.
我之前有豐富的經驗幫助母語為中文的學生（多數是陸生）,但是中文的文法在英文寫作中會碰到的問題還是一樣的。 不管是口語或是寫作,無論是單純的口語或是更為專業高階的語法與寫作,甚至是學術文章的導讀與寫作,我都可以祝你一臂之力。 我有取得T0EFL教師證書。
I have lived here for a few years and have acquired some skills in Chinese.
我主要的教學還是會以英文為主,但是我有在學習中文,所以簡單的溝通還是沒有問題的,如果真的有困難,我們也可以再溝通,看能不能克服。
