Hello! My name is Claira, an incoming senior student at Chinese Culture University, majoring in English Language and Literature. During my studies, I realized my passion for teaching. Therefore, I took various classes that would help me enhance my skills to teach in the future, including linguistics, translation, language and culture, oral communication skills, and education in gender equality. I received good scores from all these courses. Aside from these subjects, I also completed an online course given by the University of Colorado which discusses LGBTQ+ issues in education. Through this, I learned strategies for building more inclusive environments for students. Currently, I am also working on getting the TESOL certificate. In addition to my performance in school, I recently participated in a nationwide translation contest held by National Chung Hsing University, from which I won the Second Prize.
